God addressed Job from one.
Text
Job 38: 1
Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Elisha saw them.
In the second book of Kings there is a great example of this concept. We have Elisha and his servant being sought after by the king of Syria. They are surrounded by the king's army in what appears to be a hopeless situation. After the servant expresses his concern about what they are up against Elisha gave this response:
2 Kings 6: 17
And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
God peeled back the veil if you will and our troops where right there! They swooped down and the noise from their "chariots of fire" was so great the army killed themselves trying to get away. If we saw that today people would call them UFO's, and that would mean being flown by extra-terrestrial beings. But these are not space aliens. They do not look like monsters from some stupid movie! The fears that have been embedded in our memory banks have us praying for anything other than what Hollywood has portrayed. Hollywood fantasy is our entertainment, not our education or mature guidance counselor? Those entertainers fill the leader board of biblically illiterate lost souls. With very few exceptions they have become believers of their own art and have very little to offer humanity beyond their 90 minute escape from reality. Yet these illusionists will be spokespersons in the delusion and will be used in the reception to these fallen visitors.
They have been here before just like their leader has. That's why he's always an adult. One soul equals one life. Reincarnation does not exist so how could one adult appear thousands of years apart without aging unless that soul was in a spiritual body and not a flesh body? The flesh body is subject to the rules of physics in our three dimensional space with time. The spiritual body is subject to the rules of eternity and acts in accordance with the limitations of the stage we are in… currently the second earth age. If you can come to terms with that it opens up consideration to how an entity could appear the same age in different times. The fact a soul doesn't age is why they are able to do so spread out over such a long span of time?
They visited Ezekiel.
The so-called UFO is just their vehicle that travels back and forth by shifting between heaven and earthly dimensions. I have several cars. Some people have planes. Imagine what a submarine allows us to do under the ocean and how that looks to the fish. In the Old Testament the book of Ezekiel was from a time when technology yielded the cart. We're talking one-horse power (donkey power anyway). Remember when I said our best science thought the earth was flat only 500 or so years ago? And now we have so much information and examples to pull from that nothing seems really too far fetched. But back in Ezekiel's time there were no cars, buses, telephones, cable, or even light bulbs. Nobody had seen anything fly other than a bird. So keep that in mind as we read Ezekiel's description of highly polished bronze discs in the sky that moved in formation and that had windows with people inside.
What you are about to read is an account when the throne of God made itself seen to Ezekiel so he could receive a message. A hidden benefit for us is that he documented an account of this technology way back in his time. You know, people that think they saw something in the sky are not always wrong:
Ezekiel 1: 4
And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
God's throne is on the north side so he comes from the north (Satan from the south). The great cloud that accompanied these vehicles would have contributed greatly to the dramatic effect the machines as the lights reflect and flash. It said the body of this thing was amber, but there is no word for color in Hebrew. The word color in the Hebrew is expressed as "what the eye experiences". Amber is the translation from what they eye saw, which was "highly polished bronze" or "glowing metal". In other words the translation could be interpreted as they appeared to the eye as glowing metal. The infolding of itself is a description of the fuel cells that power their motion.
Ezekiel 1: 5
Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
The four living creatures are the Zoa (or Cherubim). They protect the throne of God continually without resting. This is one indicator that this is God's throne we are talking about, but don't be surprised to see Satan's bodyguards front and center when mimics this event.
Ezekiel 1: 6
And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
This has to do with the four directions of north, south, east, and west. Remember he is describing a flying disc. You know how wings work. They could not be on all four sides and be able to glide or soar, and we will see the concept of a bi-plane does not fit either. Four faces is the ability to see any direction and four wings is the ability to go any direction, so this is telling us that each side was as the front side. They appeared the same and they could move in any of the four directions.
Ezekiel 1: 7
And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
This describes the landing gear. They had straight legs with pod like feet. They were metallic in appearance.
Ezekiel 1: 8
And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
They were under a person's control. The man's hands are what controls the wings and takes them in any direction. The faces for each vehicle was different because each vehicle had a flag (or standard) that represented their tribe. Do we not have our American flag on all our aircraft?
Ezekiel 1: 9
Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
They stayed in formation whether flying or landing. When they did maneuver they kept relational formation without having to turn (like an animal turns its head to change direction). The back becomes the front or the side becomes the front verses watching a group of planes that require forward momentum to make any directional changes. Even helicopters would have to turn the direction of the vehicle around and have a noticeable front and back. We're talking a formation that can't be matched by man even today in the space age. Think about what Ezekiel witnessed and think even deeper about how this made it into the scriptures… there probably is a reason.
Ezekiel 1: 10
As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
There are the symbols that tell us the faces are the flags of the tribes. The face of man is the tribe of Rueben, the Lion is Judah, and the Ox is Ephraim. How they are displayed on a glowing metallic craft is a little beyond our current knowledge but Ezekiel did a pretty good job of communicating the concept. I mean I doubt they were cloth like what you see outside your building and I doubt they were a sticker? But he got the picture didn't he?
Ezekiel 1: 11
Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
This is describing how their formation flew together. They were very disciplined.
Ezekiel 1: 12
And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
As the spirit commanded has to do with how they all went in unison regardless of direction. This is long before we had radio capabilities so the thought of one ship knowing what the other ship was going to do and then for them all to fly with such unified precision was way beyond anything a person of that time could imagine.
Ezekiel 1: 13
As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
These were magnificent craft. They were very vibrant and their engines were powerful.
Ezekiel 1: 14
And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.
They moved about the sky and came and went in the wink of an eye. They were shifting dimensions which is as quick as a flash of lightening versus "coming and going" from any distant place with runways and approach times. You need to let it settle that they are already here, they have been here, and are they waiting to reveal their presence in accordance with what is written. Why do you think Ezekiel was able to record this encounter? Their events were for our edification if we're paying attention.
Ezekiel 1: 15
Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
They landed and still faced every direction.
Ezekiel 1: 16
The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
Yellow sapphire is the color of beryl. The rings (parts) of the craft looked the same from every direction. It appeared to be a ring inside a ring.
Ezekiel 1: 17
When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.
Remember the most technology Ezekiel has seen so far is probably a donkey cart. All the wheels he has seen have been rolling on edge whereas these are lying flat. That's why it appeared the wheels were on their sides. A circle on its side also helps explain why they didn't have to turn their heads to change direction because a circle is always facing the direction it needs to go. Watch a person ride a horse and you'll see exactly what I mean. You must turn the horses head to get a change in direction. These didn't do that.
Ezekiel 1: 18
As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
The edges had windows around them with people looking out and they were so high up it was terrifying!
Ezekiel 1: 19
And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
This is describing how the travelers inside went with the vehicles wherever the vehicles went, and that they acted together not in some random coming and going.
Ezekiel 1: 20
Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
They flew wherever they wanted. When they took off the landing gear lifted up and into the sides/top of the craft. They could fly because the thing that made them move was the rings or discs.
Ezekiel 1: 21
When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
All who were in these wheels moved together. When they landed they all landed, and when they took off again the entire formation lifted and surrounded the main ship.
Ezekiel 1: 22
And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
A firmament is a cloud. This is the cloud cover they brought with them when they approached from the north. The reflections of the various flashings throughout the cloud reacted as a crystal would.
Ezekiel 1: 23
And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.
As they hovered under the clouds they kept a tight formation.
Ezekiel 1: 24
And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
The engines sounded like rushing water. They moved and took direction from the Almighty… That puts God in the scene with these others ships representing the tribes. They landed and throttled their engines down, but everyone maintained a ready position.
Ezekiel 1: 25
And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
A voice came from the clouds as they stood on their landing gear and upon command they shut down the engines/wings.
Ezekiel 1: 26
And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
Here we have a throne descending from above the parked vehicles and it had somebody in it.
Ezekiel 1: 27
And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
The brilliance and brightness of God's presence is an awesome sight!
Ezekiel 1: 28
As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
And there it is… the likeness of the glory of the LORD. It appeared so intensely that God was surrounded by a rainbow. This experience surely knocked Ezekiel to the ground in humility, but it also gave us a concrete description of science we have yet to reach and that alone should keep us in the same humility. He wasn't giving an analogy or parable. He was doing his very best to describe how God traveled to and from to visit him and he gave a solid indication of the discipline and command that the presence of God entails. Listen, I don't believe in UFO's because the U is for Unidentified and these have been identified for quite some time. How do you think God went to see Job, or Adam? Hmmmm? How did Satan get here to temp Job, or Eve? Hmmmmm? How will Satan get here when he comes to apply for the role of your king? Will you be shocked to see these things or will you praise Ezekiel for giving you the mental preparation to handle such a dramatic event?
The fallen have rides too.
When Michael kicks Satan and his crew to the earth how do you think they will appear? Is it possible we will we a distant formation approach our planet and track their arrival? I don't think so. They will appear in the air in craft over Jerusalem. There won't be any travel between distant stars because they are only shifting dimensions from the spiritual realm into our three dimensional environment. In other words they are not coming and going per say because they are already here.
