Atheists Say
Christianity; an athiests perspective.
Christianity; The popular belief that a celestial Jewish baby who is also his own father, born from a virgin mother, died for three days so that he could ascend to heaven on a cloud and then make you live forever only if you symbolically eat his flesh, drink his blood and telepathically tell him you accept him as your lord & master so he can remove an evil force from your spiritual being that is present in all humanity because an immoral woman made from a man's rib was hoodwinked by a talking reptile possessed by an malicious angel to secretly eat forbidden fruit from a magical tree.
1) The popular belief that
A common base.
It is true that Christianity is a popular belief. Three of the major religions share a common history, and sprung from the same foundation. There is no purpose to compare them here, because we are going to focus on a picture much bigger than religious discrepancies. If the context fits it fits, and if not then not. What is popular is Christianity as a total religion. That's very different than a popular belief. Christians vary greatly in belief. They just share the umbrella of Christ.
It's not just among the denominations the scriptures are shared, Judaism and Christianity share too... up to a point. There is agreement that God is, and the holiness of the scriptures. The primary split between Judaism and Christianity is that Christians were from the twelve tribes who recognized the scriptures were pointing to Jesus. For that reason they became Christian. They came out of Judaism.
I didn't say they came out of the Jews, because Jews are people from the tribe Judah. That's only one tribe. It happens to be the King line, but there are 12 tribes of Israel. This isn't a deal breaker for what we're talking about. In fact, the same goes for the numerous denominations within Christianity, yet we label them all as Christian.
It's hard to separate the signal from the noise. As we go through this piece by piece, let the consistency be a double witness to itself... and more.
Blinding preconceptions.
In the time of the end there will be scriptures that we are to understand. Not new scriptures, but an understanding of how they apply to us.
Daniel 12: 4
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
He said the people are all over the place, because there's so much information nobody knows what's right. All these knowledge experts defending their perspective. We are all like that to some extent, so as you find the thing that goes against your "popular" belief just mark it, put it to the side, make some notes, then keep going. At the end you see how the pieces fit together, and the process will no doubt answer a lot of your questions.
Regardless of what any of us think we know, we all have some digging to do. We all are learning. I'm sure my water is muddy in spots. That's why I call this my homework. I'm more than willing to make corrections as needed, and am always looking for a way to simplify and refine what I write.
Psalm 14: 2
The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
If you can catch my mistakes then you already know what's up. No egos, just a student's heart.
Where things are today.
We have removed God from almost every element of life here in our country. We were charged with conserving a culture based on a Biblical world view, but now we have a nation split between nonbelievers and and people trapped in generational denominations that teach traditions of man. As a result the secular world looks at all the division and quickly determines that if the denominations can't agree, how do we know which one is right? They can't all be right. Are any of them right, and what exactly are they right about? These are your experts!
Hebrews 5: 12
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
He's saying that we should be teachers by now! Instead we need someone to teach us the very basics. We need milk. That's all we can digest. Take the baby formula and start over. It's easy to progress, but you have to unpack your religious perspective. If you can do that eventually strong meat will make it to the plate. Here is the current menu at the buffet. How much of this can you put on your plate?
We are in the generation prophesied in the parable of the fig tree.
Matthew 24: 32
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
Matthew 24: 33
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Matthew 24: 34
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
We are about to experience the Hour of Temptation.
Revelation 3: 10
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
We will see the two witnesses.
Revelation 11: 3
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
We will see the fallen angels and Satan booted from heaven, and they deceive the whole world.
Revelation 12: 9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
We will see God's people delivered up to testify.
Matthew 10: 17
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
Matthew 10: 18
And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
When they speak we will hear the cloven tongue of acts.
Matthew 10: 19
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
Matthew 10: 20
For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Acts 2: 6
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
We will see Satan kill the two witnesses, and leave the bodies there to prove they are dead.
Revelation 11: 7
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Revelation 11: 8
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
Three and half days later we will see them stand up, and then the world will realize who they got tricked by... again.
Revelation 11: 11
And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
Revelation 11: 12
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
None of this should be new to you. These are the headlines of today's prophesy watch. They could not be possible unless the context covered here is what happened then, and what is happening now.
There's a lot going down, and it's going to get pretty hot. I hope you're ready.
