Atheists Say

Christianity; an athiests perspective.

Christianity; The popular belief that a celestial Jewish baby who is also his own father, born from a virgin mother, died for three days so that he could ascend to heaven on a cloud and then make you live forever only if you symbolically eat his flesh, drink his blood and telepathically tell him you accept him as your lord & master so he can remove an evil force from your spiritual being that is present in all humanity because an immoral woman made from a man's rib was hoodwinked by a talking reptile possessed by an malicious angel to secretly eat forbidden fruit from a magical tree.

8) only if you symbolically eat his flesh, drink his blood

A historic value.

We take communion to identify a specific Passover from all the others before, or since. The bread and the wine are symbolic so we remember what happened, and the door it opened.

1 Corinthians 11: 24

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

We break bread to remember how they broke his body, and to claim He was the Lamb slain.

1 Corinthians 11: 25

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

We drink wine to remember how they spilled his innocent blood, locking in the plan of salvation being open to all.

Matthew 27: 50

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

Matthew 27: 51

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

When Jesus died he rent the veil from the top to the bottom. He opened direct communication to him for whomsoever will. He went and preached to those in prison (on the other side of the gulf), and that includes anyone who ever lived here, and was outside of scriptural knowledge.

When Christ shed his blood it ended all blood sacrifices for the Christian, because he was the ultimate sacrifice. Once and for all time.

He is the bread of life because the answers for making it to the eternity are in his word. He is the vine because his shed blood opened the New Testament for all. He is not physically here now, because his flesh and blood was resurrected and returned accordingly. Now we have the Comforter, or Holy Spirit.

John 14: 26

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Comforter is how the scriptures and knowledge of what they mean are revealed in their appointed time. When we study the Holy Spirit releases knowledge based upon what we have need of. For example, this bread and wine thing has been happening for a long time. We know it has historic value specific to Christ, but what about prophetic implications for our generation?

A prophetic value.

Jesus was teaching his disciples about the end times just before his return.

Matthew 24: 3

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

He gave several clues: not being deceived (false teachers), not being afraid (wars and rumours of wars), being delivered up (to share the truth), and then he gave a very specific event;

Matthew 24: 15

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Daniel wrote about a week, and in the middle of the week the entity in charge stops communion.

Daniel 9: 27

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Daniel 11: 31

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

He stops communion because he is claiming that he is Christ returned, and therefore communion is no longer needed. That's the abomination of desolation. It's Satan tricking the people of the world into following him as their god. He wants you to think this is the last chance for everyone to join up before it's too late and you're thrown in the fire... but what were we told to do when we saw it?

Matthew 24: 16

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

He said run! When you see this happen you will know we are at the end of this second earth age.

When Jesus returns we with the others, we are all changed back into our spiritual body. Not before. That's why it is written some will not die until they see it coming.

Mark 9: 1

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

People will be here on earth when he returns, and that's when we are all changed back to how we were. This begins the Millennium, and at the end we have the judgment.
